The elongated, rod like LG Chocolate BL 40 that we first saw in July is expected to make its appearence later this month in the UK.
The BL 40 reportedly has an extra wide 4 inch, WVGA (800 x345pixel) screen with a 21:9 aspect ratio. The device is of course a touchscreen that supports multitouch as well. Other features include HSDPA data connectivity and WiFi connectivity as well. A rather low capacity 1000mAh li-ion battery is rated for 5 hours of 3G talk time or 6 hours of 2G talk. This is when most other devices of its kind have 1500mAH batteries. The BL 40 comes with 1.1GB of memory and supports up to 32GB of add on memory with the help of SDHC cards. On the imaging front, it sports a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash. We can expect decent video recording capabilities although, as of now, we're unsure if it offers HD recording like the Omnia HD. Another thing that we are quite unsure of is the price tag that this one will sport. Nevertheless, we're going to find that out very soon!
